2007

Another year is dawning,
Dear Father let it be,
In working or in waiting,
Another year with thee.

Another year of progress,
Another year of praise,
Another year of proving
Thy presence all the days.

Another year of mercies,
Of faithfulness and grace,
Another year of gladness,
The glory of thy face.

Another year of leaning
Upon thy loving breast,
Another year of trusting,
Of quiet, happy rest.

Another year of service,
Of witness for thy love,
Another year of training
For holier work above.

Another year is dawning,
Dear Father, let it be,
On earth, or else in heaven,
Another year for Thee.

Psalm 23 Explained

The Lord is my Shepherd...
THAT'S RELATIONSHIP!

I shall not want...
THAT'S SUPPLY!

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures...
THAT'S REST!

He leadeth me beside still waters...
THAT'S REFRESHMENT!

He restoreth my soul...

THAT'S HEALING!

He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness...
THAT'S GUIDANCE!

For His name sake...
THAT'S PURPOSE!

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death...
THAT'S CHALLENGE!

I will fear no evil...
THAT'S ASSURANCE!

For thou art with me...

THAT'S FAITHFULNESS!

Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me...
THAT'S SHELTER!

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies...
THAT'S HOPE!

Thou anointest my head with oil...
THAT'S CONSECRATION!

My cup runneth over...
THAT'S ABUNDANCE!

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life...
THAT'S BLESSING!

And I will dwell in the house of the Lord...
THAT'S SECURITY!

Forever...
THAT'S ETERNITY!

All the work we did over the weekend..Big waste! We got just 50% of the work done, the rest..we had Issues! Hope and pray to get 'em all wrapped up this week before I leave for my vacation.

Well verse for the day (ODB)

This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope. —Lamentations 3:21

I have been through the valley of weeping,
The valley of sorrow and pain;
But the God of all comfort was with me,
At hand to uphold and sustain. —Anon.

I quote Ranjit!! "Baski finally successful...but hey.....did he forget something?
I'll let you judge that for yourself!"

38-28 Boys

Well got home from work early Saturday morning (3:30 AM) and had to wake up early to run some errands and to get back to work. Got the program CDs burnt for the Christmas party and was all set. Deepa looked beautiful for the party in here Blue Saree! Phenomenal! She has lost a lot weight! Worries me a lot! But they say she will gain it all and more soon! Can't wait for that!

Well the party was a great success. Our friends loved it. Carols, Gifts, Santa Claus the whole 9 yeards. T'was awesome! Had great food as well! Rasamalai was the bomb. :-) Had to clean up the place after that and got a chance to shoot some hoops in between in the gym! Its been almost 2 weeks since we actually played ball! Hope we play today!

And oh yeah, I got a flat lip when I came back. A 5 year old and I collided. Poor guy had a bump on his head and was miserable for the rest of the evening. I hope he feels better. As for me, "Its All Good!" :-)

And when we got back, Ranjit, Deepu, Sushil, Sanjith, Deepa & I were chattin & yappin away till like 4AM and as a result of that , we didnt make it to church! I know I know! Hope to make it to the evening service. And I need to catch up on Christmas card efforts as well!

And ofcourse the Boys beat 'em Falcons man! So it was "Good" day!

Well verse of the day! (ODB)

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. —Romans 12:21

When anger springs up in my heart, dear Lord,
Because of the evil I see,
Help me to channel the wrath that I feel
And do something noble for Thee. —Branon

Go Mavs!

The Mavs beat the L.A.Lakers. Well thats how my day ended yesterday! In a happy note.
And also we were the "High Rollers" in the bowling game yesterday in my team building event. It was awesome man, lotsa fun! The laser Tag event wore me out. I think I strained my bad ankle. (Ligament tore last Thanksgiving) But anyways no complaints there!

Well verse of the day (ODB):

The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day. —Isaiah 2:11

As you bring your gifts to His cradle
And worship Him now as King,
Do you bow your knees to His power?
Is your life the offering you bring? —Brill

Another day in Paradise!

It is going to be in the 70s today. Can you believe that? And it is goin to hit 78 on Saturday. It can only happen in Texas!!! Oh well no complaints though, we can use some warm weather around here!

Verse of the day (ODB)

The love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness. —1 Timothy 6:10

Let me hold lightly things of this earth;
Transient treasures, what are they worth?
Moths can corrupt them, rust can decay;
All their bright beauty fades in a day. —Nicholson

Big team building today in Main Event! That will be fun....I guess...I hope! Well we'll see how it goes. Wify still sick man! Wonder why they call it morning sickness. It sure aint in the morning for her! It lasts the whole flippin' day! Anyways all I can say is: "We men got it easy dude" So shut up and dont whine! Its could be a lot worse :-)

Peace!

So why blog...?

So Yeah Why DO folks blog? Is there a deep pschological reason behind people blogging or is it just the "thing" to do these days?

Well, it probably is an amalgamation of both. Some of the popular reasons people give for blogging are:

. Socialize
. Bored
. To be heard
. Online Diary
. Cos I am happy
. Cos I am depressed
. "I don't know"

and on and on and on. (Source: http://sandhill.typepad.com/sandhill_trek/2004/11/why_do_we_blog.html)

But why do I blog? I blog cos I think it is a wonderful way to paint my thoughts. Often times I get ideas, thoughts, profound insights about the WORD and stuff but I just let it go. And thats the end of it. But now, I can lock 'em up. I don't have to look for a pen and paper to jot down my extravagant and innovative ideas. And moreover it's out there. Anybody can look it up anytime.

I can almost hear people say.."Dude! You have too much time", but I beg to differ.:-) This is way better than the pointless browsing/shopping/walmarting we do everyday. You feel better at the end of the day! Think about it!

Well if you have something to share, let me know! Peace!

Tuesday!

Well what can I say? It's Tuesday! Not a bad start though! Lets see how it goes!

Verse of the Day (ODB)

When the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law. —Galatians 4:4

This joyous season of the year
Should prompt us to recall
That Jesus’ death on Calvary
Provides new life for all. —Sper

Well not a bad day. Had some Yuk Gae Chang (I know...:)) and Stir Fried Anchovy for lunch. It was good! And the Anchovy did taste like our infamous "Karuvadu". :-)

Did some interestting stuff at work. So I am excited and all! I think I might have to work this weekend. Not sure though! But I really hope not.

Anyways almost time to go home. Might have to go home and work on Dave's stuff! Oh well I am out! Peace!

Humanity!

Well yesterday I got to see my 10 week old kiddo's lil' limbs. They were actually moving man. It was phenomenal. Blew me away! Truly great is our Lord's doing!

I just can't believe that the Son of God chose to take that route of frailty and lowliness almost 2000 years ago. And all that, just for me and for you! So that you and I can be saved through HIS suffering. Well I am appalled by that fact and also by the negligence of humanity towards this great sacrifice!

Case and Point: We are here in this world for a very short time and we have the rest of eternity to either MOURN over how we lived these few years or REJOICE throughout!

The choice is yours dude!

42-17!!! Whats up with that????

42-17 Man that is dissappointing! Not from the team called one of the best teams in the NFC. Come on Boys, you can do better than that.

Well anyways apart from the terrible loss at home for the Cowboys, it was a peaceful "Lord's Day".

Working from home today..
Verse of the day (From ODB):

Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more. —Hebrews 8:12

God, whose every way is perfect,
Said in justice and in grace
That our sins He’ll not remember,
And our fears He will erase. —Hess

Saturday, December 9, 2006

It's Saturday! Bright sunny one too! What a day to do dishes, vaccuming and cleaning the restrooms! :-) Well did all that, time to go for practice. Had to download the song, "Santa Claus is coming to Town" from iTunes. So I am all set.

Well everythin' went fine. The wife and I had dinner outside and went to the city with Sushil to pick up our friends Ranjit & Deepu. Had a great time of praising and prayer. Getting ready to retire. Need to get up early for church tomorrow. Peace!

Friday, December 8, 2006

Cold day man! Its in the twenties, trust me, thats really cold for Texas!

Well anyways...the Verse of the Day (From ODB)

Be gentle . . . , in humility correcting those who are in opposition. —2 Timothy 2:24-25

Oh, to be like Him, tender and kind,
Gentle in spirit, lowly in mind;
More like Jesus, day after day,
Filled with His Spirit now and alway. —Ellsworth

Well just came back from lunch over in Dallas. Long one! Sushil showed up like 45mts late. Had ribs and mashed potatoes. Was great! Have the Christmas party to go to in a few hours. Oh I forget a meeting before that!

Some meeting that was! I nailed it! :-)

Had fun at the party...we played White Elephant and I came home with a Carafe.

<-- Me with Aaron & Tim.

Well finally the weekend is here! Hope to catch some sleep and some cleaning at home. And yeah, need to feed my pregnant wife. Peace out!!!
