Well Monday was a holiday! President's Day! First time ever I am getting a day off on President's Day! So it was pretty cool! And so Tuesday rolls by! Had to get up early to drop Uncle and Aunty at the airport. But it was pretty late when we went to bed! (chatting away) So when I got up early on Tuesday Morning, I was not in a very amicable mood. Then Deepa had to say something which ticked me off even further! Then on the way back from the airport, Traffic Jam! Can you believe it? So anyways, I hop on to V's car; really tired and crazy mad! But as we got on to the HOV lane and as V was drving at around 50 mph a very brilliant driver almost cut into our lane, but suddenly noticed us and cut back out. Scared the crap out of us! And guess what? Made me extra-super mad now! And to top it all, I found out that the phone I bought just a few months back (from Ebay ofcourse) quit working and the replacement costs a fortune! And then when you think it doesnt get any worse than this, things at work suprisingly decided to quit working!
So when I was amidst this crazy worn-out day, I get a phone call from my sweet wify from the doctor's office! And then she told me that everything looks good, and my boy looks very healthy in the womb and so is the wife! That's it man! That did it! A wave of joy and gratitude swept through me and I was suddenly overwhelmed with excitement and sheer bliss! And then looking back at the traffic, my phone, work, drive to work...nothing seemed to look awful no more! I inadvertently started to look at everything in a diferent persepctive! I realized I can always get some sleep tonight. I realized that inspite of the traffic jam I got to work on time! I realized how big a danger God has saved me from in that HOV lane and that it was just a phone! I unwittingly became consicous of the fact that life was bigger than my inconsequential and trivial qualms.
Call it profound or enlightening or obvious or even obscure! But I choose to call it a "Miracle". The miracle of life! The miracle of life in our Good Lord! So Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls....Have a great day and cherish every bit of it!
Peace!
