Ready or not, here I come!

Yesterday afternoon, Namho & I started out on our afternoon walk right after lunch! When we passed a truck unloading stuff, I heard a loud thud! Assuming the guy unloading the stuff must have drop something we continued on our path. But when we came to the street, not a minute later, we saw an accident on the closest intersection. Inadvertently, our feet started moving towards the scene of the crash! And when we started getting closer, the disturbing sight of the crash began to unravel. A red cadillac had apparently ran into a City of Richardson utility truck! Folks were running towards the crash to help the passenger out. Then, I heard the much needed but uncanny hum of a siren approach us from the distance. And soon enough the whole place was surrounded by cop cars and emergency vehicles. Not sure what happened to the passenger. I just said a word of prayer for the passenger and went back to work.

It sure did disturb the mundane proceedings of a typical Thursday afternoon. Everybody at work were talking about the frailty of man and the things thereof. Got me thinking too. Death is just lurking around the corner, lingering to devour us! And the matter of fact is, sooner or later, he will get to us! Are we ready to face our maker??
