Wow we reached India last night! Although we talked about it and had anticipated this reunion for a while, but now that we are actually here now, it is so surreal! But it is so wonderful to be in the home I grew up and to see my "tough" Dad totally lose it and make a fool out of himself before Jay! So we are slowly trying to get out of the jet lag and the 100 million miles flight ride we were on! Jay has handled it well and we actually slept through the night! SO anyways we intend to do some shopping today and get ready for the "Great Jay Birthday Bash", which he could care less for! But hey, we will do it our way until he realizes it is lame and plans his own bash! Well that's it for now!
Peace!

DAD!
God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so, He called it ... Dad

Why Crazy things happen?
Have you ever wondered, why crazy things happen to you? Things like why did I pay the late fee on that bill, or why did I say that to him/her, or why did I break it or how could I let that happen? Well, I often do and this is what I came up with. My God given wisdom is often hindered by my unwilling attitude to use it! So here are three important things that God always provides me with and how I oh so passionately diffuse it!
I am working on it, not sure if I will ever master it, but neverthless I try!
Excellent Foresight - Sheer Procastination
Brilliant Insight - Short term memory Loss
Life-altering Hindsight - Stupendous Arrogance
I am working on it, not sure if I will ever master it, but neverthless I try!

Wow!
Wow! That's all I have got to say about what happened to me this morning! It was a regular Friday morning! Decided to get to work early, so I can leave early to take the family to a wedding rehearsal dinner. To get to work, I have to take 3 highways. 121, 35 and the GB Turnpike. So I was about to get on to 121, but in a split second, decided not to and kept driving on the feeder (service) lane. (saved 45¢ there). In no time I was on 35S, heading merrily towards GBT. It was early Friday morning and there was hardly any traffic and I was enjoying the smooth ride. Now by the time I was on this 2-lane ramp to GBT, I saw this guy slowing down big time and trying to jump over to the left lane. I remember calling him an idiot. No as he started moving to the left lane, the reason for his almost bizarre decision began to unravel. Right in front me was this huge cylindrical object on the middle of the road. I didn't have time to think, I had to react immediately and so I did. I swerved over to the left lane, knowing there is a car right next to me, hoping and praying I don't hit him. And for reasons known only to God and His angels, I did not. By the time, I got my breath back and glanced into my rear view mirror, I saw the driver of the car that was right behind me, lose control veering off to the right and to the left and coming to a halt by crashing hard into the concrete barricade. And thats the last thing I saw before I lost view of the car when the road turned.
I feel sorry for the person in the car and I pray that he or she is ok. But as for me, the next 20 miles to work on the GBT was a solemn, hushed drive. From shock to fear to relief to gratitude. The whole thing made me wonder, "That could have been me! Why not me?", but all I have got to say about it for now is "Wow"
Peace!

When?
50,000 feared dead in China. 133,000 people missing or dead in Myanmar. There are people dying by the hundreds and thousands all around the world. Men, women, kids...dying possibly without the hope and the assurance of heaven & eternity. And then we hear about people complaining about God being portrayed as a man and that it is offensive to the women. So they have come up with gender-neutral prayer book so that everybody is happy!
Man! What a bunch of selfish people we have all become! The media promotes the concept of "You". What have "you" done for yourself lately? "You" need a vacation! "You" need this! "You" need that! "You" deserve this! "You!" "You!" "You!". Even the idea of serving others revolves around how good "you" feel about doing so! We have all dedicated ourselves to the relentless pursuit of gratifying ourselves! And the end to such a distressing hunt is that it doesn't have one. When will we wake up to realize that life is bigger than the next best thing? When will our eyes of understanding be opened to perceive the great commission set before us? When will we realize that it is not about us, but something larger and eternal? When? When?

I have climbed the highest mountainsWhat are you looking for? What are we looking for?
I have run through the fields
Only to be with you
Only to be with you
I have run I have crawled
I have scaled these city walls
these city walls
Only to be with you
But I still haven't found
What I'm looking for
But I still haven't found
What I'm looking for
I have kissed honey lips
Felt the healing fingertips
It burned like fire
This burning desire
I have spoke with the tongue of angels
I have held the hand of a devil
It was warm in the night
I was cold as a stone
But I still haven't found
What I'm looking for
But I still haven't found
What I'm looking for
I believe in the Kingdom Come
Then all the colors will bleed into one
bleed into one
But yes I'm still running.
You broke the bonds
And you loosened the chains
Carried the cross
And my shame
And my shame
You know I believed it
But I still haven't found
What I'm looking for
But I still haven't found
What I'm looking for
I have climbed the highest mountains
I have run through the fields
Only to be with you
Only to be with you

But I still haven't found
What I'm looking for
But I still haven't found
What I'm looking for

But I still haven't found
What I'm looking for

Son of my own
Another cool song I ran into.
RIDING THROUGH THE YARD UPON A PONY WITH WINGS
HE TELLS THE WIND WHEN TO BLOW, THE BIRDS WHEN TO SING
AND WHEN HE’S TUCKERED OUT HE CURLS UP HERE NEXT TO ME
HE IS THE PRINCE OF THE WORLD AND I’M THE KING
I COULD NEVER LOVE THE WORLD LIKE YOU DO LORD
I’VE SEEN HOW MUCH IT COST YOU AND I KNOW
I COULD NEVER LOVE THE WORLD LIKE YOU DO LORD
SINCE I’VE HAD A SON OF MY OWN
SUNLIGHT CROSSES TIME AND SPACE TO REST IN HIS HAIR
HE HAS A SMUDGE ON HIS CHEEK, WHY SHOULD HE CARE
AND ALL THE MEANEST DINOSAURS ARE TIED UP WITH STRING
HE TELLS THEM HE’S NOT AFRAID OF ANYTHING
I COULD NEVER LOVE THE WORLD LIKE YOU DO LORD
I’VE SEEN HOW MUCH IT COST YOU AND I KNOW
I COULD NEVER LOVE THE WORLD LIKE YOU DO LORD
SINCE I’VE HAD A SON OF MY OWN
YES THE WORLD IS HURTING, AND CANNOT FIND PEACE
MILLIONS OF PEOPLE ARE LOST AND IN NEED
BUT I’D LOCK HIM AWAY AND SAY YOU LET HIM BE
WELL THAT’S JUST WHAT I’D DO IF IT WERE ALL UP TO ME
SOMEDAY SOON HE’LL CHOOSE THE KIND OF LIFE HE WILL MAKE
HE’LL HAVE TO FOLLOW HIS HEART, AND I’LL NEED YOU THAT DAY
PROMISE ME YOU’LL TEACH ME HOW I’LL EVER LET GO
NOW THAT I HAVE A SON OF MY OWN, A SON OF MY OWN
I COULD NEVER LOVE THE WORLD LIKE YOU DO LORD
SINCE I’VE HAD A SON, YOU GAVE ME A SON
NOW I HAVE A SON OF MY OWN
